Airtel tests Ericsson's RedCap technology for the first time in India: What is it

Bharti Airtel and Ericsson have successfully tested Ericsson's RedCap software on Airtel's 5G network. RedCap is a new radio access network software that enables more 5G connections and creates new use cases for devices like smartwatches, wearables, and industrial sensors. It offers similar data rates as LTE devices with improved latency and energy efficiency.
